How can we help?

Trove is a home inventory app for iPhone. Add what you own, see what it is worth, and find it again in seconds — no account, no spreadsheet.

Contact us

We read every message. Email is the fastest way to reach a human.

If you are reporting a problem, it helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and the Trove version shown in the app's Settings.

Manage your subscription

Trove's plans are Apple subscriptions, so they are billed and canceled through your Apple Account — not through us. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Some plans include a free trial, described when you subscribe; unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it converts to a paid subscription.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
  3. Choose Trove to change your plan or cancel it.

Canceling stops the next renewal; a paid plan normally stays active until the end of the current period. Refunds are handled by Apple — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Downgrading or reverting to Free does not delete or hide your items, but editing is limited to your most recently added 20 items until you upgrade again. Features that require a paid plan are also unavailable until you upgrade.

Restore purchases

Reinstalled Trove, or set up a new iPhone? Your plan follows your Apple Account, so nothing needs to be bought again.

  1. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account that bought the plan.
  2. Open Trove and go to the plans screen.
  3. Tap Restore Purchases.

If your plan still does not appear, email support@altterra.app with your Trove ID, which you can copy from Trove's Settings › About (tap it to copy). If Trove shows no Trove ID, include the email address of your Apple Account and the date of the purchase instead. Please leave out passwords, payment details, and other sensitive personal information.

Export and back up your data

Your Trove is yours. There are three ways to get it out of the app:

  • Inventory Report — a PDF or a spreadsheet of everything you own, grouped by collection with subtotals and a grand total. You choose the columns (brand and model, serial number, room, purchase date, store, warranty, receipt on file, photo on file, quantity), and every value is marked as the purchase price you recorded or as your estimate.
  • Donation report — a PDF for a chosen year, listing each donated item with its recipient, date and value.
  • Manual Backup — a full backup file you can restore later.

The Inventory Report is on the Tools tab, the donation report is under Donations on the Tools tab, and Manual Backup is under Settings › Data & iCloud (the gear on the Home tab). All three need the Core plan or above. Backups and reports are ordinary files, not encrypted, so anyone with a copy can open them: store them somewhere safe.

Depending on your iCloud settings, the photos, receipts, documents, and 3D scans you add are also stored in your own iCloud account, on every plan. On paid plans, the rest of your Trove syncs through iCloud too. Before you delete Trove or change phones, check that your items have synced, or make a Manual Backup.

Privacy and cloud features

Trove has no account and no sign-in. Your inventory is stored on your iPhone and, depending on your plan and iCloud settings, in your own iCloud account. The app connects to our servers regularly, for example when it opens, to confirm your plan and load settings.

Trove AI features — Item Scan, Room Scan, Receipt Scan (Cloud), Image Generation, AI-painted Collection and Room pictures, and, once you turn them on, automatic image generation and smart reminder suggestions — are processed by Google's Gemini. Trove asks for your consent before your data is first sent. We do not sell your personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

How your information is handled is set out in the Privacy Policy; the rules for using Trove are in the Terms of Service.

Requirements

  • Trove is for US residents aged 18 or older.
  • iPhone running iOS 26 or later.
  • On-device Receipt Scan (Quick) requires an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence.
  • 3D Scan is available on iPhones that support Apple's Object Capture (models with LiDAR scanning hardware); Trove hides it on models that do not.
  • The app is currently available in English (US).
